Dylan Lighthall, a talented individual, was born and raised in the vibrant city of Charlotte, North Carolina, by his loving parents, Dennis and Martha Lighthall. From a young age, he demonstrated a strong affinity for sports, which would eventually evolve into a passion for sports reporting. Growing up, his ultimate goal was to become a television personality for a prestigious network like ESPN. However, his freshman year at Appalachian State University marked a significant turning point, as he discovered the world of theatre and fell deeply in love with the performing arts.
As he continued his education at UNC-Charlotte, he pursued his newfound passion and eventually secured representation. In 2018, he made the bold decision to transition into the world of film, enrolling in "The Actor's Lab" in Charlotte, North Carolina, one of four locations founded by J.D. Lewis. Under the guidance of esteemed instructors Pat Dortch and Bryan Pierce, Dylan honed his craft and quickly landed his first lead role in the film "Finding It" directed by Grant Weaver.
He followed this success with a lead role in "Its Night" in early 2019. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he continued to refine his skills through virtual classes at The Actor's Lab and, in 2020, secured a significant supporting role in the feature film "Water for the Root" as "Mikey". Furthermore, he wrote, directed, edited, and starred in his first film, "Mutual", which was a finalist for "LabFest 2021". In 2021, Dylan wrote, directed, and starred in two more films: "Invisible" and "What Lies Between".
Throughout his journey, Dylan has consistently impressed and grown as an artist, with many exciting projects on the horizon.
