Durga Khote

Durga Khote, a renowned actress of Indian cinema, entered this world on January 13, 1905, in the bustling city of Bombay, which was then part of the Bombay Presidency in British India. Born with a passion for the performing arts, Khote went on to carve a remarkable career for herself in the Indian film industry, leaving an indelible mark on the world of cinema. Some of her most notable performances include Mughal-E-Azam, released in 1960, the critically acclaimed Bidaai, which premiered in 1974, and the iconic Anand, which was released in 1971. Throughout her illustrious career, Khote brought to life a wide range of characters, showcasing her incredible versatility as an actress. Unfortunately, her remarkable journey came to an end on September 22, 1991, when she passed away in Bombay, which is now known as Mumbai, in the state of Maharashtra, India.
