Sandra Siew Pin Lee Rebish, also known as Dr. Pimple Popper, is a renowned American board-certified dermatologist based in Upland, California. Born on December 20, 1970, she has made a significant name for herself through her YouTube videos and the reality series Dr. Pimple Popper on TLC.
Lee's family migrated to New York in 1969, and later relocated to Southern California when she was just five years old. She attended the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) as an undergraduate student, where she worked part-time as a medical assistant for an allergist in Downtown Los Angeles. After graduating from UCLA, Lee attended the Drexel University College of Medicine and graduated in 1998. She then completed her internship at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh and her dermatology residency at Southern Illinois University.
As a board-certified dermatologist, Lee is a member of several prestigious organizations, including the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the American Society for Mohs Surgery.
Lee's journey on YouTube began in 2010, but she did not start posting content regularly until 2015, when she noticed the popularity of her Instagram videos featuring skin extractions. Today, she has over 7.3 million subscribers on her YouTube channel, with a total of one billion and counting views.
In addition to her YouTube success, Lee has also launched her own line of skin care products, SLMD Skincare Products, in 2017. The same year, she signed with TLC to have her own TV series, Dr. Pimple Popper, which premiered on July 11, 2018. The show has gained immense popularity, and Lee has made a guest appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on August 14, 2018.
Lee is married to fellow dermatologist Jeffrey C. Rebish, whom she married on May 28, 2000. The couple currently resides in Upland, California, and Lee works at Skin Physicians & Surgeons.
