Christiane Northrup

A native of Boulder, Colorado, Chris returned to her hometown with great enthusiasm to discover a flourishing local film festival scene. As a long-time film enthusiast, Chris brings a wealth of experience in advertising, promotions, marketing, and sponsorship to her role at the Boulder International Film Festival. Prior to joining BIFF, Chris had a distinguished career in youth and family marketing, serving as the Manager of Youth and Family Marketing for Burger King Corporation. During her tenure, she was responsible for overseeing the creation and distribution of millions of toys featuring beloved characters from franchises such as Star Wars, Spiderman, Shrek, The Simpsons, Powerpuff Girls, and SpongeBob SquarePants. Some of her notable accomplishments include catering the afterparty for the Kids' Choice Awards, conceptualizing a futuristic Burger King restaurant design for the film Men in Black 2, and securing the title sponsorship of the 2001 Backstreet Boys Tour for the fast-food giant.
