Douglas, the third of five brothers, grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia, surrounded by the influence of black and white films and live stage performances. His fascination with these art forms began long before he learned to read, and it wasn't long before his childhood dreams of working in Hollywood took shape.
After completing high school, Douglas embarked on a cross-country journey to pursue a career in the film industry. He immersed himself in the world of movie making, learning as much as he could from the sets and benefiting from the guidance of award-winning faith-based filmmakers Wes and Amanda Lewellyn. With a clear purpose to glorify God, Douglas set out to create motion pictures that would inspire and uplift audiences.
Today, Douglas is recognized for his skill in directing, shooting, and editing two full-length feature films. One of these films is set to be released in theaters nationwide on March 3, 2022, through Fathom Events. Furthermore, Douglas has been invited to share his expertise as a guest speaker at various Christian media events and will be teaching a cinematography course at the largest Christian film festival in May 2022.
