Born in the sun-kissed Southern California region, where the warmth of the Golden State's climate seemed to have ignited a spark within him, a spark that would eventually become a lifelong passion for the art of filmmaking. Little did anyone know that this young individual, who was merely twelve years old at the time, was already experimenting with the art of home movie-making, laying the foundation for a career that would span decades to come.
Fast forward to the age of sixteen, when this talented individual landed his first professional job, working as an animator on a short film being produced at the prestigious Brooks Institute of Photography. This early exposure to the world of animation and filmmaking was just the beginning of a journey that would take him to the very pinnacle of his craft.
Following his stint at the Brooks Institute, this driven individual attended the California Institute of the Arts for a period of two years, honing his skills and further developing his passion for the art of storytelling. It was during this time that he was offered a job at the esteemed Disney Studios, where he would go on to work as a sculptor, animator, and storyboard artist.
Over the years, this multifaceted individual would continue to work on live-action features, honing his skills as a writer and storyboard artist. His hard work and dedication eventually paid off, as he was given the opportunity to direct second unit on Sam Raimi's 1991 cult classic, Army of Darkness. This marked a significant milestone in his career, signaling a new chapter in his journey as a filmmaker.
