Donovan is the Creative Director and a founding partner of Beach House Pictures, overseeing content development and executive producing numerous international productions. He is instrumental in expanding the company's offerings into premium factual originals, branded content, and the integration of innovative technologies, such as 4K/UHD productions.
With extensive experience in factual entertainment filmmaking, Donovan has worked on several award-winning shows, including Lonely Planet Six Degrees for TLC, Nomad Chef for TLC, Asia's Deadliest Snakes for Nat Geo Wild, and Megastructures: Singapore's Vegas for Nat Geo International. He is a specialist in science and engineering programs, having produced Machine Impossible for Nat Geo, Man Made Marvels for Discovery Channel, and Innovasians for Nat Geo.
As an Executive Producer, Donovan has worked on notable projects, such as the Nat Geo International series China from Above, which garnered over 250 million views on China's Tencent, the Star Sports series Freedom Riders Asia, and the History series Hidden Cities and its spin-off Hidden Cities Extreme. He has also produced groundbreaking Stereo 3D documentaries for 3net and Nat Geo International, including Jewels of the World, Secrets of Shaolin with Jason Scott Lee, and Fight Club Asia. Donovan is a member of the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
Currently, Donovan is Executive Producing several projects, including Discovery Channel International's first true 4K survival series, Ed Stafford: First Man Out, a 4K 5-part Art of Craft series with CCTV9, and the 3-part Celebration Nation series for Tencent and Nat Geo.
