Donna, a native of Brooklyn, New York, has led a multifaceted life, marked by a rich tapestry of experiences that have shaped her artistic expression. As a former dancer, she honed her craft at the esteemed Henry Street Playhouse, where she had the privilege of studying under the tutelage of renowned choreographers Alwin Nikolais and Murray Louis.
In addition to her dance background, Donna's educational pursuits took her to the City University of New York (CUNY) Brooklyn, where she earned a degree in teaching. She then brought her skills to Fredricks of Hollywood, where she worked in a capacity that allowed her to combine her passion for art with her teaching expertise.
Throughout her life, Donna has been drawn to various forms of artistic expression, and her creative journey has been marked by a deep exploration of different mediums. Her inspirations have emerged from her experiences as a modern dancer, a poet, and an underground cinema star, as featured in the Kuchar Brothers' iconic films of the 1960s in New York.
After relocating to San Antonio, Donna dedicated herself to raising a family, and it was during this period that she discovered a renewed passion for art. She has since been working extensively with acrylics, pastels, and a variety of multi-media materials, as she continues to navigate the ever-evolving landscape of her creative path.
