Donna's career in the entertainment industry began with work as a print model and film extra, eventually leading her to study film and writing. Her writing talents caught the attention of the William Morris Agency, and she went on to write screenplays, commercials, and educational videos. Donna also worked as a script supervisor and assistant editor on several projects.
She co-wrote the action-adventure film "Beretta's Island" featuring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Franco Columbu, and wrote additional film projects for Columbu's company. Donna was also an uncredited writer on the comedy-adventure film "Taken Alive".
From 1993 to 2005, Donna was the writer, producer, and occasional host of the popular interview show "Hollywood Beat". The show featured celebrity guests such as Peter Bogdanovich, Robert Wise, and Charles Champlin, among many others.
Donna also wrote, produced, directed, edited, and hosted special on-location episodes of "Hollywood Beat", including a popular episode shot at the Multi-Cultural Motion Picture Association "Diversity Awards" Gala. She interviewed celebrities such as James Coburn, Jimmy Smits, Billy Dee Williams, and Diane Ladd.
As a journalist for the first International internet magazine founded by Sam Donaldson, Donna produced, wrote, and co-hosted a historical live web-cast, radio, TV, and DVD production commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the first wireless broadcast.
Working for WGD-Media and its subsidiaries, Donna assisted on several commercials and video/DVD shoots, and wrote, directed, produced, and co-hosted a special on-location show at the Environmental Media Awards. She interviewed stars such as Harrison Ford and Daryl Hannah.
As an entertainment columnist for the Ojai and Ventura View magazine, Donna went on to author a large coffee-table book featuring the photos of acclaimed photographer Tim Hauf. The book was recently signed by Donna at Borders and Barnes & Noble book stores.
