Dona Speir, a statuesque blonde knockout, was born on February 7, 1964, in Norwalk, California. Prior to her selection as Playboy's Playmate of the Month in March 1984, she enjoyed a successful career as an international model and brand ambassador, as well as a former high school gymnast and track star.
Following her Playboy centerfold, Speir appeared in a series of videos produced by the iconic men's magazine, as well as additional pictorials in national and international issues. Her transition to Hollywood led to guest appearances on popular TV shows such as "Mike Hammer," "Matt Houston," "Knight Rider," and "Married with Children."
As an actress, Speir found her stride with her portrayal of Donna Hamilton, a tough, gun-toting federal drug enforcement agent, in seven action features for director Andy Sidaris. Her roles in films like "Dragnet," "Mortuary Academy," and "Doin' Time" kept her active throughout the 1990s.
In the new millennium, Speir shifted her focus to her work as a spokesperson, motivational speaker, and personal growth counselor, including her role as a Personal Recovery Assistant (PRI). In 2018, she earned accreditation as a NCRCI, NCRCII, NCIP (Recovery Coach I, II, Interventions) and has dedicated her service to the addiction and recovery community.
In 2019, Speir will embark on a North American media tour to commemorate the 35th anniversary of her Playboy centerfold, while also participating in speaking engagements to support her first book, "Naked Truth: The Fall and Rise of Dona Speir." When not working, she can be found collecting rare mineral specimens, riding Harley-Davidson motorcycles, appreciating contemporary art, traveling, and advocating for animal rights and rescue.
