Dominic Lees, a native of London, embarked on his cinematic journey in Poland, where he underwent rigorous training under the esteemed tutelage of Krzysztof Zanussi and Krzysztof Kieslowski. Subsequent to his studies, Lees completed his postgraduate training as a director at the Northern Film School in England, successfully producing two award-winning short films, "The Nose" and "Borderland". The latter, a remarkable achievement, was showcased at the prestigious Venice Film Festival and earned the distinction of "Best British Student Film".
Following this notable success, Lees received commissions for television and Channel Four Films, ultimately leading to the direction of his feature film debut, "Outlanders". This cinematic masterpiece garnered an impressive five awards at international film festivals, solidifying its reputation as a standout production. Furthermore, "Outlanders" enjoyed widespread international recognition, securing lucrative distribution deals.
