Dominic Howes, a renowned Emmy Award-winning director, is driven by a passion for storytelling that showcases the stunning beauty of human resilience. His journey to filmmaking was marked by a series of unconventional experiences, which began in his hometown of Philadelphia and continued on a hippie commune in rural Virginia, where he spent his formative years.

Later, he relocated to northern California, where his adventures as a gold miner in the Alaskan wilderness and his study of Indian Classical music in New Delhi further shaped his artistic perspective. One of his most notable projects is the award-winning 2008 documentary feature, The Listening Project, which was filmed in 14 countries, including Afghanistan, Russia, and China.
