Dominic Glynn is a renowned composer, best known for his work on the theme tune of the classic Doctor Who (1963) TV series. His career began in 1986 when he was employed by John Nathan-Turner to rework the title music for Colin Baker's second and final season as the Doctor, "The Trial of a Time Lord". Although this was soon replaced by Keff McCulloch's version for the Sylvester McCoy era, Glynn continued to compose incidental music for the series until its cancellation in 1989.
In the 1990s, Glynn's love of underground dance music led to record releases with Creation Records and Rising High Records, and he went on to form his own record label, No Bones Records. He has also DJ'd regularly for The Big Chill and scored music for video games such as Forsaken and ReVolt.
Glynn has also had a successful career in live performance, including a show at London's Royal Festival Hall with pedal-steel legend BJ Cole and the electronica/jazz hybrid project "Cybajaz". He has collaborated with video artist collective D-Fuse on several projects, resulting in performances in the UK, Germany, and Switzerland, and regular screenings as part of the One Dot Zero digital arts showcases.
Today, Glynn is one of Britain's most prolific composers of production music, with his work featuring in films and TV productions worldwide, including The Simpsons, American Idol, Red Dwarf, Dead Like Me, Kevin & Perry Go Large, and Holy Man. He has also scored music for a series of supernatural horror shorts starring Victor Spinetti, Anna Wing, and Clement Freud, and produced by horror legend David McGillivray, which were screened at London's Frightfest film festival.
In 2012, Glynn's soundtrack music to the radio revival of the classic sci-fi series Blake's 7 was broadcast on BBC 4 Extra, and he has also had music featured in BBC2's Episodes and wrote the theme to C4's Supersize vs Superskinny Kids.
