DJ Hazard was born in the Bronx, New York, and later resided in Astoria, Queens, New York, where he attended the prestigious High School of Art and Design in Manhattan.
In 1979, DJ Hazard played a pivotal role as one of the founding members of Boston's renowned Ding Ho Comedy Club, an iconic establishment that boasted an impressive roster of talented individuals, including renowned comedians Steven Wright, Bobcat Goldthwait, Paula Poundstone, and Denis Leary. The Ding Ho was the brainchild of comedian/writer Barry Crimmins, who served as the club's general manager and booking agent, while Hazard took on the responsibilities of assistant manager and creative director. As a result, Hazard emerged as one of the top comedians in the Boston scene.
In 1995, DJ Hazard embarked on an extraordinary adventure, transforming a 1985 Nissan Stanza Hatchback into a mobile home and embarking on a three-year journey across nearly all of North America. During this period, he lived out of his car when not provided with accommodations.
After three years on the road, DJ Hazard returned to Boston, only to later return to New York City in 2005 to pursue a career in acting and writing. Throughout his career, he has appeared in over a dozen films and has penned four books, solidifying his status as a multifaceted and accomplished individual.
