Dileesh Pothan is a trailblazing Indian filmmaker, actor, and producer who has made a significant impact in the Malayalam cinema industry. His journey began as an associate director on the 2010 film 9 KK Road, and he went on to work as an assistant director with renowned producer-director Aashiq Abu for five films.
In addition to his work behind the camera, Pothan also made his acting debut in 2011 with a scene in Aashiq Abu's film Salt N' Pepper. He has since appeared in an impressive 44 films to date.
Pothan's directorial debut was the critically acclaimed 2016 comedy-drama film Maheshinte Prathikaaram, starring the talented Fahadh Faasil. The movie received widespread acclaim, including the prestigious Best Feature Film in Malayalam Award at the 64th National Film Awards.
