Her journey began when she was inspired by Jennifer Jones' performance in The Song of Bernadette (1943),which sparked a desire to become an actress within her. At the tender age of a teenager, Dianne relocated to New York City from Springfield, Illinois, where she honed her craft at the renowned Neighborhood Playhouse under the guidance of Sanford Meisner and Martha Graham.
Throughout her career, Dianne has had the privilege of working alongside numerous talented artists, including the esteemed Robert Altman. She has appeared in various productions on and off Broadway, including notable shows such as "Kindertransport" and "Equus". Dianne's impressive performances have earned her several accolades, including the coveted Drama Award for her role as M'Lynn in "Steel Magnolias" at the Arizona Theatre Company.
As a long-standing member of Theatre West, Dianne has taken on a range of roles, including the sarcastic Nancy Blake in "The Women", Esther in "The Price", Eleanor in "The Lion in Winter", "Waiting in the Wings", "Nunsense" alongside Lee Meriwether, and "Mornings at Seven" opposite Betty Garrett. Her extensive experience in regional theatre has allowed her to work with a variety of talented individuals and has helped her develop a unique, 'tell it like it is' personality.
Dianne's film career has been equally impressive, with appearances in over thirty television series, including the iconic final episode of Seinfeld (1989).
