Diana Aljeiroudi is a multifaceted filmmaker, producer, and editor who has made a significant impact in the industry. Her films have been showcased internationally in over 60 countries, with screenings at esteemed festivals and art events, including the Kunsthalle Wien, Berlin State Museums, and the Taipei Biennial.
As a producer, Diana has collaborated with emerging directors to bring forth a plethora of critically acclaimed independent documentary films in Syria and beyond. Her work has garnered international recognition, with her films being broadcast globally on networks such as Arte, NHK, TSR, NRK, TV2, Al Arabiyah, and more.
Diana's career in film began in 2002 when she co-founded an independent film production company, Proaction Film, in Damascus. For the next 12 years, she managed the company, producing and directing numerous films. In 2008, she co-founded the Dox Box international documentary film festival in Syria, where she played a key role in organizing training and industry events. The festival continued to thrive until the Syrian uprising in 2011.
After leaving Syria, Diana relocated to Berlin and co-founded a new production company, Proaction Film, later rebranded as No Nation Films GmbH. She also established the independent non-profit documentary support organization, Dox Box, which she has managed since its inception.
Throughout her career, Diana has received numerous accolades, including the European Documentary Network Award and the Catherine Kartlidge Award. She has been invited to serve as a juror and panelist at various film festivals and funds, including the prestigious Cannes Film Festival's L'OEil d'or or The Golden Eye Award in 2015, the IDFA Dutch Competition in 2015, and the Grand Jury at the One World Film Festival in 2016.
Diana holds a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities and English Literature from Damascus University and has received professional training in international film producing and distribution from the INA/Sorbonne in France.
