Biography

Devon began his acting career in local theater, making his professional debut at the age of ten in September 2008 as Fat Sam in the Montgomery County (PA) Cultural Center production of Bugsy Malone, Jr. This impressive performance caught the attention of VS Talent of Mount Holly, NJ, and he was subsequently picked up by the agency.

As his career progressed, Devon landed his first paid jobs with Activity TV Jr, where he played the lead in the Rock & Roll Birthday Party episode. Around the same time, he also appeared as an extra in Law Abiding Citizen with Jamie Foxx, as the lead in a number of short films, and began auditioning in New York for Robin Dornbaum of JGD Talent.

In 2009, Devon began studying with Jimmy Carr at Plaza 7 Talent in King of Prussia, PA, and attended the week-long International Modeling and Talent Association event in New York, where he received several awards and caught the attention of Sid Gold of Goldstar Talent Management (New York). His impressive performance led to interest from several Los Angeles agents and managers, and he was encouraged to come to LA for pilot season.

As his career continued to grow, Devon began working for Goldstar through New York agents such as Abrams Artists, Innovative Artists, and Generation TV, and continued to book jobs in the Philadelphia area. By winter 2009, he had signed with Goldstar.

In 2010, Devon booked his first national commercial, a radio and TV voiceover for Walmart, followed by a live TV appearance on Nickelodeon's World Wide Day of Play and a print job for Dell Interactive Learning.

In 2011, Devon appeared in national on-camera commercials for Sylvan Learning Center and Sprint, and has since appeared in a variety of roles, including Darnell West in the Spelling Bee episode of TBS's Are We There Yet?, Jamal in Rodney Evans' The Happy Sad, Tween Boy in The Dreaming Tree Foundations's The Stream, Eric in Warner Brothers' Run All Night, and Eli, his first feature lead, in George LaVoo's Juvie.

Devon is a member of SAG-AFTRA and has studied with several prominent acting coaches, including Jimmy Carr, Philip Jacobson, and Diane Hardin. In addition to his acting career, Devon is a talented music composer, performer, and producer, and has worked with a wide range of talent, including fellow students, adult and professional musicians, singers, and rappers.

In December 2012, Devon was featured in a two-page article in The Norristown Times Herald, detailing his acting career and musical activities.
