In addition to her professional endeavors, Devan is a dedicated volunteer and co-founder of the Norman Studios Silent Film Museum, a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to restoring and reopening Northeast Florida's sole remaining silent film studio complex. This historic site holds significant importance as it was once home to the production of some of the nation's first all-African American-cast films.
