Derrick, a proud alumnus of Pennsylvania State University, held esteemed positions as Vice President of the Penn Players Drama club and Co-Chair of the Technical Stage Directors Association during his time at the institution.
As a trained theatrical actor, Derrick has had the privilege of appearing in a diverse range of plays, including Charles Busch's critically acclaimed "Psycho Beach Party" and the Philly Fringe 2011 Overlap Productions show, "SuperEgo".
Over the past two years, Derrick has further honed his craft by studying Film/TV Intensive studies under the guidance of renowned Professor Drucie McDaniel at the Actor's Center. Additionally, he has taught On-Camera/VoiceOver basics to both children and adults at the same esteemed institution.
In 2012, Derrick's professional endeavors led to appearances in a number of National and Regional commercials, as well as a starring role in the indie film "Hoagie", which premiered in May of that year.
Currently, Derrick is involved in teaching Voice Over Acting classes at Philly Style Studios and runs his own Photography business. Furthermore, he is currently in production on the upcoming film "Possession", which is slated for release in 2013.
