Dennis's journey in the entertainment industry began with a television and radio class at John Glenn High school in Los Angeles, which was initially suggested by his mother. This class marked the starting point of his fascination with the world of acting.
As he progressed to college, Dennis initially pursued a major in Physical Education, but his interest in acting soon took center stage. He auditioned for a play and secured a role, which not only thrilled him but also inspired a profound change in his academic path. He decided to switch to a major in Theatre Arts, a decision that would ultimately shape his future.
Dennis's passion for acting continued to grow, and he landed a significant role as Big Julie in the production of Guys and Dolls. This experience was particularly notable, as he played the part while using a wheelchair due to an unfortunate ACL injury sustained during a rehearsal. The injury occurred when he attempted to jump up and spin to roll the dice, but unfortunately, he came down awkwardly on his knee.
Following his stint at LaMirada Civic Theatre, where he performed for two years, Dennis began training to become a professional actor at the South Coast Actors Theatre, Los Angeles Actors Theatre, and the renowned Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. Over the next few years, he honed his craft under the guidance of industry experts, including Richard Jordan.
Throughout his career, Dennis has worked on a variety of projects, including independent films, commercials, and television shows. Simultaneously, he navigated the challenges of raising a family in the Midwest, a testament to his dedication and resilience.
