She started her career in repertory theatre at the Gateway Theatre in Edinburgh, before making the move to the Palladium Theatre, also in Edinburgh, where she showcased her talents in various variety shows. Prior to finding her footing as an actress on the West End stage, Denise worked as an interviewer for BBC radio, honing her skills and building her confidence. Her impressive theatre credits include West End productions of 'High Spirits', 'The Beggars Opera', and 'Let's Get a Divorce', as well as numerous productions at the Mermaid Theatre. Denise's film credits include notable feature films such as "Waltz of the Toreadors", "Georgy Girl", and "Far From the Madding Crowd", and she made a lasting impact on television with appearances in the "Stanley Baxter" series, "Do Not Adjust Your Set", "Captain Fantastic", and "Girls About Town".
