Biography

Denalda, an accomplished improviser, was a founding member of the Vancouver Theatresports League, and her talents took her on an international journey, performing all over the world. Her impressive resume includes being part of the World Championship Team at Expo 1986 and a Silver Olympic Medalist at the Calgary Olympic Art's Festival in 1988.

Notably, Denalda was a key member of The Second City, where she starred in the hit productions "One Million Cheers BC," "Whose Line is it Anyway," and "Punchlines No Name Players" alongside Rich Elwood, Ryan Stiles, and Jim McLarty. Her extensive experience in improvisation also led to her teaching Colin Mochrie how to drive for a role on the CBC classic series "The Beachcombers."

Denalda's transition to film began with the iconic comedy "Roxanne," where she had a memorable moment when Michael J. Pollard accidentally set her on fire. Despite the incident, she has been on fire ever since. Her extensive television credits include appearances on "The X-Files," "Malcolm in the Middle," "Six Feet Under," and "Freaks and Geeks."

Denalda's filmography boasts a range of notable roles, including "Roxanne," "The Accused," "Lucky Numbers," both "Stakeouts," and the cult classic "Ernest Rides Again." Her unique distinction lies in playing the role of a Pumpkin Lady not once, but twice, in the productions "Double Double Toil and Trouble" and "Freaks and Geeks."

As a talented director, Denalda brought her expertise to the Montreal Comedy Festival, directing the hit film "My Big Fat Greek Wedding."
