Deirdre was born and raised in Cumberland, Rhode Island, within an Irish-Italian and military family. As a teenager, she began her acting career in New England, winning awards for best monologue and best actress at "Talent America". This achievement led to offers from agents and managers, ultimately luring her to New York City.
