Biography

Deepak Parashar, a renowned Indian actor and former model, was born on 2nd April 1952. His illustrious career has spanned numerous notable performances in various mediums.

Parashar's television credentials include his stint in the popular soap opera Kahiin To Hoga, where he played a pivotal role. Additionally, he donned the regal attire of a Mughal badshah in the costume drama Chandramukhi.

In 1976, he was crowned the very first Mr India/India Prince (A Personality Contest),alongside Nafisa Ali as Miss India and Poonam Dhillon as Miss Delhi. His modeling career was marked by his association with Vimal Suitings and the iconic Super Bazar in New Delhi, where his photograph was prominently displayed for many years.

In the early 1980s, Parashar ventured into Hindi cinema, taking on several notable roles in films such as Sharaabi, Insaaf Ka Tarazu, Nikaah, Purani Haveli, and Aap to Aise Na They. Among these, Nikaah remains his most successful film to date, while Insaaf Ka Tarazu stands out as one of his most memorable supporting roles.

Later in his career, Parashar participated in the reality TV show Bigg Boss in 2006, unfortunately being evicted in the second week. He also made appearances in the TV serial Swabhiman on Doordarshan, playing the character Mahendra Malhotra.
