Biography

Dedee Pfeiffer, a talented actress, was born in Midway City, California, to a heating and air conditioning contractor father and a homemaker mother. Her upbringing in this suburban setting would later influence her acting career.

To hone her craft, Dedee studied with renowned acting coaches such as Peggy Feury, Roy London, and Ivana Chubbuck. This rigorous training prepared her for her early roles in film and television.

Dedee's big break came with her part in John Landis' 1985 film "Into the Night," followed by her television debut in the series "Simon & Simon" in 1981. Her subsequent roles in films like "Vamp" (1986) and "Falling Down" (1993) showcased her versatility as an actress.

In 1995, Dedee landed a series regular role on the hit television show "Cybill," starring alongside Cybill Shepherd as her daughter Rachel. The show earned numerous awards and nominations, including three Primetime Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe Award.

Dedee's success on "Cybill" paved the way for her subsequent roles in the series "For Your Love" (1998) and guest appearances in iconic shows like "Seinfeld" (1989),"Friends" (1994),"CSI," and "ER" (1994).

In addition to her television work, Dedee has also had success in short films, earning awards and nominations for "The Tub" (2009) and "Laredo" (2009). Her feature film credits include the award-winning "L.A., I Hate You" (2011).

In a bold move, Dedee appeared nude on the cover of Playboy magazine's February 2002 issue, breaking with convention by posing with a BIPOC male model and showcasing her tattoo art.

After a 10-year hiatus from Hollywood, Dedee returned to acting, earning her Master of Social Work degree from UCLA. She then landed a series regular role on the ABC drama "Big Sky" (2020),playing Denise Brisbane.
