Deborah Reed is a multifaceted individual with a passion for performing, writing, and directing. Born in Utah, she began creating characters at a young age and was encouraged by her teacher after performing a Shakespearean monologue in drama class. She went on to perform in her first film, "Educated Heart", and later moved to Spokane, Washington, where she honed her skills in musical theater and began writing and directing her own work.
Deborah's career in the entertainment industry spanned over two decades, during which she worked as a print model, makeup artist, and actor in film and television. She also created a forum for children's classes, teaching them skills and confidence needed in the industry while promoting positive thinking and self-respect.
In 1989, Deborah landed the iconic role of Creedence Leonore Gielgud in the cult classic film Troll 2 (1990). Her over-the-top portrayal of the Queen of Goblins has become a fan favorite. She took a sabbatical from the industry from 1997 to 2000 to serve as Executive Assistant to United States Congressman Merrill Cook, where she worked on various projects, including the Bicentennial Local Legacies project.
After leaving politics, Deborah focused on her artistic pursuits, working as a mural and Trompe l'oeil artist and co-hosting a television series with her husband, Randy Holman. They produced documentaries and TV commercials together until Randy's untimely death in 2012.
Deborah's current work includes writing and blogging, with a focus on creating humor and finding humanity through her stories. She has written a children's picture book, "When Bugs Are Bugging You", and a middle-grade novel, "Flump - Book One: The Gaseous Ghost", which contains references to Troll 2 (1990). Deborah is the mother of two sons, Gavin and Remington Reed, who are founders of the company Hey Bud Games.
