Dean's journey began with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre from Western Carolina University, marking the start of his artistic endeavors. However, he soon found himself trading in his acting shoes for cleats, as he embarked on a professional football career with the Indianapolis Colts. During his time on the field, Dean made a lasting impact, earning two consecutive all-pro titles and cementing his status as the leading scorer in Colts history.
Despite his success in football, Dean's passion for the arts never wavered. He continued to hone his craft, this time in the Big Apple, where he pursued further studies at the prestigious Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. As his skills grew, so did his opportunities, and Dean found himself taking the stage at the esteemed Indiana Repertory Theatre.
There, he brought to life the role of the son in Pirandello's Six Characters in Search of an Author, as well as Mark Anthony in Shakespeare's Julius Caesar. Dean's versatility as an actor was further showcased through his television and film credits, which include appearances on The West Wing and Jerry Maguire, as well as numerous independent features.
Today, Dean calls Charlotte, North Carolina home, where he continues to nurture his creative spirit and pursue new projects.
