David Winning is a US-Canada dual citizen and veteran film and television director and producer. With over 160 credits, he has extensive experience in various genres, including sci-fi, horror, drama, action, and more.

Born in 1957, David began his career in the film industry at a young age. At 22, he directed his debut feature film, Storm, with a budget of just $50,000. The film was released theatrically in 1988 and distributed by Warner Home Entertainment in 1989, selling over 20,000 copies.

His subsequent feature films, Killer Image (1992) and Profile for Murder (1996),received critical acclaim and earned several awards and nominations. His work in television has also been recognized, with over 90 international awards and nominations, including four national Gemini (Emmy) Television nominations for Best Director-Dramatic Series.

David has directed for various networks, including Netflix, Hallmark, SYFY Channel, Lifetime, Nickelodeon, Disney, BBC, ABC Television, Paramount, MGM, and 20th Century FOX. He has worked on a wide range of projects, from science fiction and horror to comedy and family films.
