Biography

David Siqueiros, a multifaceted individual, was born in Mexico City, Mexico, to an artistic family. His father, David Siqueiros "Tabaquito", was a renowned bullfighter, having performed in Spain, Mexico, and South America, while his mother, Estela Trueba, was a dancer from the prestigious Mexican National Ballet Academy and a founding member of the famous Ballet Folklorico.

David's uncle, the world-renowned muralist David Alfaro Siqueiros, played a significant influence in his interest in filmmaking, which began in the late 1980s when he became actively involved in the written media as a reporter for Mexico's premier newspaper, "El Heraldo". In 1983, David immigrated to Los Angeles, where he worked as a reporter for the premier Spanish newspaper in the US and later as a TV producer-director for KMEX-TV.

He later moved to the Univision Network, directing "Mundo Latino", a daily variety show broadcast live in the US, Mexico, and Latin America on the first Latin-Sat-Network. David eventually settled in the US, attending film school at UCLA and LACC, and landing a job as a producer-director for the top-rated Italian show "Telemike", a variety show transmitted live via satellite from exotic locations around the world.

In 1988, David founded "Via Hollywood", a multilingual entertainment programming source for networks such as US' Telemundo and Univision, Mexico's Televisa, Swiss' TV Romande, and Hispanic-related stories for Entertainment Tonight, TNT Network, and many more. In 1990, he shot his first film project, "Mami yo tequiero", the first Spanish rap song nominated for an MTV award that year.

He quickly put together some of the most memorable campaigns in the Spanish market. His company was the first to develop, cast, and shoot major commercial spots in Spanish using a never-before-seen two-minute format for prestigious Dailey & Associates Advertising and its most important client, Ford Motor Company.

David has created, written, and directed TV campaigns for clients such as Kia Motors America, Toyota Motors, Shiseido Cosmetics, Arrowhead Water, and shot music videos for stars such as Thalia and Patricia Manterola. His work earned him an invitation as a guest director for the "Angeles" series for Tri-Star TV and the Telemundo Network.

Currently, David is post-producing "One Long Night", his first full-length feature film, a project he wrote, produced, and directed, starring Jon Seda, Alison Eastwood, Paul Rodriguez, and Karen Black.
