With a total of five published novels, Rollins' works frequently explore themes of corruption, featuring special agents and serial killers. His writing has earned him the esteemed nickname "the next Tom Clancy."
The author's journey began with a midlife crisis, which prompted him to take a break and pursue his passion for flying. This newfound hobby inspired his debut novel, Rogue Element, released in 2002. The success of this book was swiftly followed by the publication of Sword of Allah in 2003, The Death Trust in 2005, A Knife Edge in 2006, which received a nomination for the 2007 Ned Kelly Awards Best Crime Fiction, and his latest novel, Hard Rain, released in June 2008.
Prior to his writing career, Rollins attempted to join the military, but ultimately opted for a career in the publishing industry. He then transitioned into motoring journalism, driving cars and bikes for various magazines. He later switched to advertising, where he spent many years enjoying himself.
Today, Rollins resides in Sydney with his wife and three children.
