David is a multifaceted creative force, renowned for his work in the realms of science fiction, dark comedy, and emotionally charged character dramas. His impressive repertoire includes writing, directing, and producing, showcasing his versatility and expertise.
David's debut feature, Under My Skin, garnered widespread recognition, earning nominations for an Australian Academy Award (AACTA) and an Australian Directors' Guild Award. The film was released in various territories, including Australia via Stan, the US and Canada through MPX/1091, the UK through High Fliers, and is currently available globally.
In addition to his feature work, David has also made a name for himself in the short film arena. His critically acclaimed short film, Picture Wheel, screened at prominent festivals such as Palm Springs, Rhode Island, Cinequest, and Santa Monica, where it took home the award for Best Short Film. The film was later acquired by Dustx.
David's other notable short film, Love & Dating in LA!, premiered internationally at festivals including Cleveland, HollyShorts, Santa Monica (where it won the Audience Choice Award),and more. He also executive produced The Horn, which had its world premiere at the Melbourne International Film Festival.
David's upcoming feature, Sons of Salt, received development funding from Screen Australia and was shortlisted for the Australians in Film Gateway Screenwriting Prize, further solidifying his reputation as a talented and innovative filmmaker.
