David Marciano is a renowned actor, writer, and director who has enjoyed a remarkable career spanning over three decades. As a series regular, he has had the privilege of working with esteemed entertainment professionals, including Steven Bochco, creator of the popular TV series "Civil Wars", where he played the role of Jeffrey Lassick, a poet bicycle messenger.
Marciano's second notable series was the CBS drama "Due South", created by Oscar-winning writer Paul Haggis. In this show, he brought his comedic flair to the Buddy Cop genre, playing Detective Ray Vecchio on the streets of Chicago. During his time on "Due South", Marciano received consecutive nominations for a Gemini Award from the Canadian Academy.
Following his stint on "Due South", Marciano became a regular cast member on the FX Emmy Award-winning drama "The Shield", where he portrayed old-school Detective Steve Billings for four years. Marciano, an accomplished writer and mother of their three children: Ariana, who attended Hamilton High School in Los Angeles; Mina, who attended Walter Reed Middle School in Studio City; and their youngest son, Marcello. Marcello's diagnosis with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) has inspired David and his wife to dedicate a significant portion of their time and resources to educate and raise awareness about ASD.
