Biography

David Lautman, a multifaceted artist, was born in the vibrant city of Los Angeles, California.

Beyond his impressive work in film, television, and theater, David has had the privilege of performing in over two hundred commercials, including high-profile campaign spokesperson roles for esteemed brands such as Smart & Final, Canon, and CarGurus, among many others.

His extensive television credits include a significant recurring role as the charismatic tabloid journalist Grant Smoltz on the esteemed ABC soap opera General Hospital, as well as co-starring roles on the popular FX series Dave, the Amazon original series Hunters, and the Peacock original series Angelyne.

David's recent feature film credits include Deer Camp '86, Shakey Ground, and The Comic Shop, a testament to his versatility and range as an actor.

Interestingly, David credits his father, Ben Lautman, for inspiring him to pursue a career in acting. Ben Lautman, a talented performer in his own right, is most notably recognized for his appearance in the original Broadway production of the iconic musical HAIR, which ran from 1970 to 1974.
