Concurrently, he continued to work in corporate video, producing his own direct-to-consumer videos and the world's first interactive feature film. He also wrote plays and corporate presentations that have been produced globally, earning several playwriting and screenwriting awards, with multiple screenplays optioned.
David discovered a passion for teaching and subsequently returned to graduate school to earn an MFA in screenwriting. He returned to corporate video in 2000, commencing a teaching career in 2002, and began spending summers and winter breaks working on feature films and television shows as an electric and gaffer, as well as serving as a Director of Photography on low-budget films. He has continued to work as a theater lighting designer throughout his career.
