Biography

David Caprita, a Navy brat born on September 30, 1953, in Jacksonville, Florida, embarked on an entertainment career in radio at the tender age of 14, starting in Pensacola and eventually hosting morning shows across the nation, including Miami, Seattle, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles.

As he transitioned into acting, David made his debut in Miami, appearing in film and television as well as performing on stage. In 2000, he received a nomination in the Best Actor category of Florida's Carbonell Awards for his lead performance in the Southeastern U.S. premiere of Tracy Letts' "Killer Joe". He also appeared in Letts' "Bug".

David continued to hone his acting and radio skills in Los Angeles, studying and performing at The Sanford Meisner Center, Theater 68, Theater Unleashed, Skypilot Theater, and other esteemed institutions while announcing at 94.7 The Wave.

Throughout his radio career, David has produced talk shows at Premiere Radio, various sports programs at NBC Sports Radio, and even created and hosted his own program "Uncommon Ground" for XM Radio.

In addition to his radio and acting pursuits, David has also ventured into writing, penning one-act plays that have been performed at The Hollywood Fringe and Atlanta Fringe Festivals. His scriptwriting credits include TV pilots, screenplays, and episodic tales, such as "Tropic Air", "All Talk", "Muscle Shoals", and the gripping story of serial killer/president Dick Posey, "Hell to the Chief".

David's stage writing has also been showcased in "Jake and the Angel", "Mule", and countless comedy sketches for the late-night comedy series, "Fries on the Side".

Currently, David resides near Atlanta in Fayetteville, Georgia, with his wife Ellen.
