Dave Stone, a Kansas City, MO native, grew up on a small rural family farm in Maricopa, AZ, before transitioning from the Arizona real estate industry to pursue a career in filmmaking in 2001.
In 2004, Stone co-founded Intrigue Films with business partner Johnny Meier and produced his first feature film, "They Know". However, after completing the project, the duo decided not to release the horror film due to its genre.
Early in 2007, Stone and Meier redefined the mission of Intrigue Films to "Produce evocative, entertaining films and become a vehicle for cultural transformation". With this direction in mind, the pair went on to produce their second feature film, "One Hit From Home".
Released in March 2012, "One Hit From Home" grossed more than 300% return on budget within less than four months. In the same year, Stone graduated from Screenwriting U's Pro Series and became part of the Pro Series Alumni.
Now, Stone is available for writing assignments that explore the theme of brokenness to redemption.
