Darrell Hammond, a renowned comedian, was born in Melbourne, Florida, to Margaret Evelyn (Helms) and Max Carey Hammond. He spent an impressive 14-year tenure as a cast member on Saturday Night Live (SNL) from 1995 to 2009, earning the distinction of having the longest tenure of any SNL cast member.

Hammond's exceptional comedic talent shone through in his various sketches, showcasing his remarkable chemistry with fellow cast members. Additionally, his uncanny ability to impersonate celebrities and Hollywood figures, such as Vice Presidents Dick Cheney and Al Gore, President Bill Clinton, Hardball with Chris Matthews host Chris Matthews, Sean Connery, Regis Philbin, and Donald Trump, left audiences in awe.

Despite his mixed movie career, including roles in The King and I (1999) and New York Minute (2004),Hammond's true strength lies in his SNL performances. In recent years, he gained recognition for his 2011-2012 SNL Republican Primary coverage and his impressive portrayal of candidate Donald Trump.

In May 2011, Hammond published his autobiography, God If You're Not Up There I'm F*cked: Tales of Stand-Up, Saturday Night Live, and Other Mind-Altering Mayhem, which delves into his childhood filled with abuse and how it led him to become a skilled mimic and impersonator.
