Darla Rae is a renowned filmmaker with a distinguished career, hailing from Azusa, California. Her inaugural full-length feature film, "The Goal," garnered widespread recognition, securing awards at two prestigious US International Film Festivals, as well as the coveted Golden Ten Award at the Mumbai India International Sport Movies & TV Film Festival. Furthermore, "The Goal" received the Honneur de Mention and the esteemed Lombardi awards at the 24th annual International Milan Sports Movie & TV Film Festival.
Darla's journey in the entertainment industry began on stage, gradually transitioning to writing, directing, and producing. She made the bold move from stage to film at the tender age of 18. Throughout her career, she has penned, directed, and produced numerous stage, film, video, and commercial productions, showcasing her versatility and artistic range.
Darla's unwavering passion, boundless creativity, and extensive business experience have yielded products of exceptional quality. As an alumnus of The Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles, she has honed her craft and developed a keen sense of storytelling.
Darla's latest projects include directing, producing, and acting in Section B, as well as narrating and appearing in the documentary Dandy Kids. Additionally, she will produce and direct the documentary "Making Burros Fly" (working title),narrated by James Cromwell, featuring Tippi Hedren and Wayne Pacelle, which chronicles the life work of Cleveland Amory.
