Dara McGarry, a talented individual, was born on October 14, 1964, in the vibrant city of Nashville, Tennessee. Her early career began with a unique role as a spokesperson for a local salad bar, promoting their fresh lettuce offerings under the charming persona of "Happy Lettuce". Growing up amidst the rich cultural scenes of music and theatre, McGarry's passion for the performing arts only intensified, leading her to pursue a career in Chicago before making the move to Los Angeles in 1997.
As a talented artist, McGarry's skills were soon recognized by Walt Disney Feature Animation, where she contributed to the production of several notable films, including the critically acclaimed Frozen (2013),the charming Meet the Robinsons (2007),and the entertaining Chicken Little (2005). In 2014, McGarry made the transition to London, where she joined the esteemed visual effects company, DNEG, and continued to work on various VFX projects.
However, her journey took another significant turn when she made the move to the Feature Animation division at DNEG, where she has since dedicated herself to creating enchanting animated films. McGarry currently resides in London with her loving feline companions and her prized collection of ukuleles, a testament to her multifaceted personality and creative pursuits.
