Danny Le Boyer was born in Bien Hao, South Vietnam, to Jean Boyer, a Colonel and Commander of the 518th fighter Squadron for the Peoples Republic of Vietnam, and Ba Nguyen. Due to the fall of Saigon, his family fled the country with him and his younger sister Christy Boyer on a Military C-130 transport aircraft, having survived over 3000 mortar rounds fired at the airbase the previous night.
