Daniel James Lenihan, born in West London, and raised in the charming town of Chessington, embarked on his career in 1990 as a photojournalist at the esteemed London News Service Press Agency in Exmouth Market, Farringdon. This marked the beginning of his illustrious journey as a press photographer, eventually leading him to work for renowned organizations such as Reuters, Mirror Group Newspapers, News International, Press Association, Alpha, Big Pictures, Getty, The Telegraph, The Guardian, The Independent, and Observer Group Newspapers.
Danny's remarkable career spanned across the UK, capturing iconic moments of the Royal Family, Politicians, and Celebrities. He also ventured into the world of football, spending his weekends at esteemed stadiums such as Selhurst Park, Loftus Road, Highbury, White Hart Lane, Griffin Park, Craven Cottage, and Plough Lane.
However, in 1997, Danny's career took an unexpected turn when he fell in love with stand-up comedy and acting. Under the guise "Danny James", he established himself as one of the UK's most sought-after MC's, gigging globally. He became a regular at The Comedy Store in London and Manchester, Jongleurs across the UK, and appeared in two European Tours, two US Tours, four films, hundreds of TV shows, and at the prestigious Edinburgh and New York Comedy Festivals. Moreover, Danny was featured twice in Rufus Hound's book, Stand Up Put Downs.
After retiring from full-time stand-up, Danny transitioned to an award-winning product designer and founded British tripod brand, 3 Legged Thing LTD. Although he no longer spends his days behind the camera as a photographer, he still remains closely tied to the industry, now focusing on designing innovative camera equipment.
