Daniel Anthony Hutton, a renowned singer, was born on September 10, 1942, in Buncrana, County Donegal, Ireland. His early life took a turn when he moved to America as a young boy. Hutton's career began to take shape as he worked at the warehouse for Disney/Buena Vista Records in California. He utilized his vocal talents by doing voice-overs for various cartoons and recording several singles for both the MGM and Hanna Barbera Records labels in the mid-1960s.
In addition to his work in the music industry, Hutton also auditioned to be a member of the popular band, The Monkees, but unfortunately, did not make the cut. However, his charming song "Roses and Rainbows" became a significant local radio hit in Southern California. The year 1968 marked a significant milestone in Hutton's career as he became a founding member of the immensely popular 1970s rock group, Three Dog Night. He remained with the band until their eventual breakup in 1977.
Moreover, Hutton lent his vocals to the power trio BBA on their self-titled 1973 debut album. Following the disbandment of Three Dog Night, Hutton transitioned into a management role, overseeing prominent Los Angeles punk bands such as Fear. He also fronted the group the Danny Hutton Hitters, whose cover of the Nit Kershaw song "Wouldn't It Be Good" was featured on the soundtrack to the hit comedy "Pretty in Pink".
In the mid-1980s, Hutton rejoined Three Dog Night and has remained a member of the band to this very day, continuing to captivate audiences with his powerful vocals and impressive music career.
