Daniel's play, "Colored Eggs", was a resounding success, captivating audiences at various theaters across the country with its joyous reception. The screen adaptation of the play, "Changing Hearts", was penned by Wright himself, and features an impressive cast, including Academy Award Winner Faye Dunaway, Lauren Holly, Emmy Award Winner Tom Skerritt, and Ian Somerhalder.
In 1996, Daniel authored a successful novelty book, "Dear Elvis, Graffitti From Graceland", in collaboration with Mustang Publishing. The book's quirky charm and riotous humor found its way onto the pages of USA Today, as well as being broadcast and reviewed in various publications and radio stations throughout the country.
