Daniel's life took a dramatic turn shortly after his birth, when he was abandoned by his biological parents. A sequence of relatives stepped in to provide for his well-being, leading to a childhood marked by frequent relocations from one home to another. Despite these challenges, Daniel's passion for acting remained unwavering, and he harbored a dream of becoming a professional actor.
This ambitious goal finally took shape in 2004, when Daniel landed his first significant role as the leading man in the esteemed "Ye leb esat" theatre company. Over the course of his career, he would go on to perform in over 12 plays and 15 films, gradually establishing himself as a public figure and a beloved local icon in the trendy Piazza district of Addis-Ababa.
Miguel Llansó took notice of Daniel's talent, casting him in his debut short film "Where is my dog?" in 2010. This initial collaboration was followed by a second short, "Chigger Ale", in 2013. Miguel subsequently entrusted Daniel with the lead role in his feature film debut, "Crumbs", which catapulted the actor to cult status. Their fourth joint project, "Jesus Shows you the Way to the Highway", is a testament to the enduring creative partnership between Daniel and Miguel.
