Born in the vibrant city of Chicago, Illinois, in the year 1959, Danny Pesina embarked on a lifelong journey in the realm of martial arts, commencing his formal training under the guidance of Master Guo Jianhuai in 1989. As he delved deeper into the world of Wushu, he studied both the external and internal aspects of this ancient Chinese art, honing his skills under the tutelage of numerous renowned Chinese instructors, including Hu Jianqiang, the former Chinese National Champion, Lo Minghan, a former member of the Hubei Wushu Team, and Lin Jianhua, to name just a few.
Throughout his illustrious career, Danny Pesina has competed at both the national and international levels, garnering an impressive array of first-place awards and accolades in forms, weapons, and fighting competitions within the A.A.U., N.A.S.K.A., and U.S.A. KungFu/Wushu circuits.
In addition to his impressive martial arts credentials, Danny Pesina has also made a lasting impact in the world of video games, starring as iconic characters in the first two Mortal Kombat games, including the likes of Johnny Cage, Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Reptile, and Smoke. His brother, Carlos Pesina, also collaborated with him on these projects, bringing the character of Rayden, the thunder god, to life.
