Daniel Halper is an American political writer, having previously held the position of online editor at the now-defunct neoconservative magazine The Weekly Standard until a management change took place at that publication in 2016.
Prior to his employment with the New York Post from 2016 to 2017, Halper had been involved in the publication of Clinton, Inc.: The Audacious Rebuilding of a Political Machine, an unflattering 2014 biography of the Clinton family.
In 2017, he transitioned to the role of editor for the Drudge Report, replacing Joseph Curl. This hiring coincided with the Drudge family's decision to retreat from the public sphere, and may have played a significant role in the Report undergoing a substantial change in editorial direction.
In June 2020, Halper collaborated with Alana Goodman to publish the book "A Convenient Death: The Mysterious Demise of Jeffrey Epstein".
