Daniel H. Forer is a renowned producer, director, and writer with an impressive 10-time Emmy Award winning portfolio. His ESPN 30 for 30 documentary, "Mike and the Mad Dog", premiered at the prestigious Tribeca Film Festival in 2017. Additionally, his award-winning films, "Free Spirits" (2013) and "Second Chance Season" (2007),are showcased on ESPN.
Forer's extensive body of work includes the Emmy Award-winning documentary "Mr. K A Common Man with Uncommon Vision" (2005),which tells the story of Kansas City Royals owner Ewing Kauffman for PBS. He also produced and directed "The Wright Brothers - First in Flight" (2003) for Discovery.
As a writer/producer, Forer was a key contributor to the hit CBS series "Touched By An Angel" from 1995 to 2003. During his hiatus, he produced and directed "Boys Nation: Bill Clinton and the Boys Nation Class of 1963" (1998) for ABC News.
Prior to relocating to Los Angeles in 1994, Forer was based in New York City, where he worked for CBS Sports. During his two-decade tenure, he held the position of senior feature producer and produced numerous high-profile events, including 10 NCAA Basketball Championships, eight Daytona 500s, seven NBA Finals, six Super Bowls, four World Series, and the 1992 Winter Olympics.
Forer also created and produced "Overtime with Pat O'Brien" (1990) for CBS Late Night and "Weekly World News" (1994) for CBS Entertainment.
As a graduate of Northwestern's Medill School of Journalism, Forer is a member of both the Directors Guild of America and the Writers Guilds of America.
