Daniel Falcone was born in Syracuse, New York, and spent his formative years in Lake Placid, New York, where he developed a passion for figure skating and downhill skiing. This early exposure to athletic pursuits laid the foundation for a lifelong appreciation for the arts, which would later manifest in his pursuit of studio art and film at Syracuse University.
Falcone's academic journey was marked by exceptional achievement, as he graduated magna cum laude with honors from Syracuse University. He then relocated to New York City, where he spent two decades honing his skills in film and video production, as well as editing. During this period, he also pursued advanced education, earning an MFA in Film with a concentration in screenwriting from Columbia University.
Falcone's feature screenplay, "Living In Skin," garnered significant recognition, winning the Faculty Selects Award. The screenplay was subsequently optioned by Here! Network and Torch Films, although unfortunately, it never came to fruition. Undeterred, Falcone continued to hone his craft, completing a dark comedy feature script titled "Dear Prudence."
The story follows Prudence Grimwood, a fifty-two-year-old unsuccessful screenwriter, who, saddled with debt and forced to move back home to Maine, concocts schemes to pay off her creditors, which could ultimately have devastating consequences. Falcone hopes to bring his screenplays to life soon.
In his personal life, Falcone resides with his partner, Tim, in Bangor, Maine. The couple is owned by their two mischievous cats, Minerva and Fanny, who were rescued from the SPCA and now serve as executive management of the household. In addition to his creative pursuits, Falcone is an accomplished painter and ceramist, and he enjoys embarking on hiking and kayaking adventures.
