Daniel Chuba is a multifaceted American creative professional, boasting a dual background in both fine arts and computer animation.
Initially, he pursued his passion for painting at the University of Michigan, where he honed his artistic skills. Later, he expanded his skill set by earning a Master's Degree in Computer Animation from the prestigious California Institute of the Arts, also known as Cal Arts.
Following his academic achievements, Chuba joined Apogee Productions, quickly rising through the ranks to become the Head of Production. This experience laid the foundation for his future success.
He then transitioned to Pacific Data Images' feature film division, taking on the role of Producer and eventually Executive Producer, overseeing the studio's operations.
In 1992, Chuba co-founded Hammerhead Productions alongside three fellow senior managers from PDI: Jamie Dixon, Rebecca Marie, and Thad Beier. At Hammerhead, he oversaw the production of digital animation and visual effects for an impressive 115 feature films.
In 2015, Chuba ventured into a new entrepreneurial endeavor, co-founding Legacy Classics alongside Mark A.Z. Dippé. This venture focused on developing family-friendly entertainment and educational products based on beloved and award-winning children's literature.
Fast-forwarding to 2019, Chuba partnered with producer Sylwia Wilkos to establish Sun Dragon Entertainment, a production company dedicated to developing and producing live-action series and films.
